The Perfect Rustic Patio Setting

24 Jun

There is no denying summer is here…the sun is out, the neighborhood kids are underfoot and the smell of that perfect steak on the barbeque is wafting through the open windows. To make the most of these summer months, I spend as much time outdoors as I can and that means getting the patio up to tip top shape. Creating a peaceful outdoor space is really pretty simple; you just need the basics.

To create a comfy outdoor lounge area, add a couple of chairs, a chaise or an outdoor sofa and a coffee table or side table for icy drinks and snacks. I also like to toss out a couple of blankets to keep guests warm in the evening.

If you’re anything like me, you love dining outside in the summer and a new line is offering beautiful and durable outdoor tables and chairs. MiYu Furniture is designed to look like hand carved hickory, but is made with aluminum to resist the elements. I think the Outdoorsman Square Dining Table and Traditional Patio Chairs are perfect for a rustic patio and they’ll last for years.

The final touches to your patio should set that relaxing summer mood and for me that means bird feeders to draw in your favorite song birds and wind chimes to sing the anthem of summer. Once you’ve completed your rustic outdoor space, you’ll be able to throw a steak on the grill, grab a cool drink and enjoy all the beauty summer brings.
